Hull is experiencing strong winds of almost 70mph this morning (February 17), as Storm Otto sweeps across the north of England. As a result of the conditions, a large tree has blown down, obstructing a lane on Boothferry Road. Road users warned others about the tree at around 8am and the council has since arrived to clear the road. One lane of the dual carriageway is currently closed while workers use chainsaws to cut down the tree. The tree is just before Costello traffic lights and is expected to be cleared soon.
