Closures on Sutton Road are to be extended by another four days due to the road being in a worse state than expected. Sutton Road will undergo essential resurfacing work as part of the Stoneferry Corridor improvement scheme, meaning it will be closed to both directions of traffic. The resurfacing will now be carried out under a full weekend closure (from 8pm on Friday, April 8, until 6am on Monday April, 11), followed by overnight closures (7pm-6am) from Monday April 11, to Friday, April 15. The road will be closed between the Holwell Road/Sutton Road roundabout and Ennerdale roundabout. The section of road that is being resurfaced is in front of the Aldi supermarket.
