If you would like to join our awarding winning team and play a part in realising our vision, please read on… We are looking for a passionate, customer-focused and driven individual to join our team as a Terminal Operations Assistant.   You will contribute to making DSA outstanding by making an IMPACT on our Company Values: Our IMPACT Values Integrity Maintain a safe and secure environment Passionate People Achieve Together Customer-focused Teamwork The role: You will be the eyes and ears of Doncaster Sheffield Airport (DSA) based in the Airport’s Operations Centre (AOC), located in the Terminal Building, you will primarily be responsible for operating, monitoring and prioritising CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) at the Airport, ensuring that all work is undertaken in compliance with the operating procedures, statutory regulations and the codes of practice. You will also assist in the day to day control of the Terminal Buildings by monitoring and operating numerous systems within the AOC, passenger congestion, system faults/breakdowns, ICT helpdesk, answering the automated telephone systems and car park intercoms and adhering to emergency procedures.  In addition, you will complete landside patrols and aircraft stand-planning for DSA. You will work an operational shift pattern providing cover averaging 42 hours per week, including weekends, a flexible attitude to working hours is essential. Ensure all operations are completed safely and correctly. Be responsible for your own and others safety. The person: As you’ll appreciate, it is a demanding and challenging role but one that’s equally exciting and ideally suited to a person who has: Outstanding levels of Customer Service Excellent observation and communication skills, including telephone and written Proven competency within a customer service environment with good interpersonal skills Good IT literacy with the ability to use Microsoft Packages and computerised systems Ability to remain calm and professional at all times especially during an incident  and able to  work under you own initiative Proven competency within a security type role would be desirable including CCTV operation and monitoring of computerised systems  / databases Flexibility to cover shifts and being an effective team player Criminal Records Check  / Counter Terrorist Check (provided by the Company) and a five year background check are also essential A CCTV SIA licence would be desirable, although full training would be provided Level 1 Aviation Security trained would also be desirable, again full training would be provided You will also require a full UK driving licence and five year background check. Benefits Annual salary – £19.6k. Hours of work – the airport is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, you will work an average 42 hours p/week, a 4 on/4off shift pattern, 12 hour shifts, with the flexibility to provide overtime cover as required.
