Tesco has revealed it is still waiting for new parts to fix the car parking machines which have largely been out of service for almost six months. Shoppers will have noticed the machines have not been operational since May, which means they have not had to spend £5 to get two hours’ free parking. Back in June, Tesco told Hull Live the problem should soon be rectified, with the parking machines expected to be back up and running within a week. But fast forward to mid-August and they remained out if service. And now, well into autumn, the machines remain offline. We apologise to customers for any inconvenience caused and are working to have the machines fixed as soon as possible. “In the meantime, there is no minimum spend for parking at the store but the two hour maximum stay limit remains in place.†It is good news in the sense that people don’t have to spend £5 to park for two hours but some motorists have complained that they have received fines
