Trains to and from Hull cancelled or delayed due to…

All trains running from Hull's Paragon Station have been cancelled or delayed due to a signalling system fault. As of 9am on Saturday morning (June 29), all lines are blocked because of a fault with the signalling system between Hull and Brough. All trains running between these stations are either cancelled or delayed by up to 30 minutes. The disruption is expected to last until 11am. The Hull Trains route between Hull and London Kings Cross is unable to operate in both directions, as well as the Hull and York/Leeds Northern route between Hull and Selby and the Hull and Doncaster/Sheffield Northern route between Hull and Goole. The TransPennine Express route between Hull and Manchester Piccadilly has also been affected, with a rail replacement bus service organised for passengers to reach their destinations. One rail user at Paragon Station told Hull Live: “I ran through the bus area as was cutting it fine for my train to York, only to see on turning the corner a picture of scores of people outside the ticket barrier, a lot with confused faces. “There was a station worker who was explaining loudly every few minutes why all the trains were delayed. He said it was signal failure in the Brough area, so no trains in or out that way. Within a couple of minutes, my train got cancelled as have others. The one an hour later’s delayed too. So I had to get the two-hour X46 bus. I’m very annoyed – but glad I brought a book with me.” Follow the live blog below for updates on the situation as they come in. 10:51 Lauren Davidson Disruption expected until 11.45am According to National Rail, disruption is still expected to last until around 11.45am.
