Traumatised residents who witnessed the aftermath of a fatal crash in Hull have been offered counselling, it has been revealed. Glen Hilton, 27, died alongside his pal Rikki-Lee Woods, 26, on Easter Monday after the black BMW car they were in collided with a tree in Cavendish Road. The road in east Hull was closed for most of the day after the collision at around 7am as shocked residents woke up to see traumatic scenes unfold in front of them. Now it has emerged residents living near the scene were subsequently invited to a special meeting organised by the emergency services to help them come to terms with what they saw on that day. Speaking at a Park area committee, Councillor Kalvin Neal took the opportunity to thank officers from the Humberside Fire and Rescue Service and Humberside Police who were involved.
