Two taken to hospital after A15 head-on crash near Humber Bridge

Two people were taken to hospital on Sunday after a head-on crash between two cars on a major road near Humber Bridge. The crash happened just before midday on Sunday, November 21 on the A15. It led to the temporary closure of the road in the Humber Bridge direction while the cars and debris were removed. To read more of the latest Humberside Police stories, click here. Traffic was allowed through in the other direction, towards North Ferriby. Thankfully, the two people who required hospital treatment suffered only “minor injuries”. One of the cars involved in the A15 crash, with debris in the foreground (Image: Donna Clifford) A Humberside Police spokesman said: “Officers were called to reports of a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A63 eastbound slip road at just before midday yesterday (November 21). “It is reported that a white Ford Active and a black Volkswagen Polo were in collision at the junction of the A15 and A63 near the Humber Bridge and North Ferriby. “Two people were taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries. A lane closure was put in place but the road was reopened by 2pm.” An eyewitness said of the police's attendance at the scene: “Police filtering traffic round, road closed the way to Humber Bridge but police controlling single traffic past the accident the other way.” Recovery vehicles arrived shortly before 2pm on Sunday to remove the wrecked cars from the road.
