Two-week road closure planned in Orchard Park for resurfacing work

Part of Orchard Park Road will be closed for up to two weeks while an essential resurfacing scheme takes place. Hull City Council says the project will improve the carriageway between Ellerburn Avenue and the eastern junction of Hall Road. The main aim is to replace the deteriorated surface of the road, ensuring it provides a safe, even surface for traffic with sufficient grip and skid resistance. To ensure safety during the works, a full road closure will be implemented. A signed diversion route will be in place via Orchard Park Road (west) and Hall Road, depending on the direction of travel. Residents' access will be maintained via Ellerburn Avenue, although there may be restrictions at certain times. The contractor will be present throughout the project to assist with any access issues. Meanwhile, regular bus services on this section of Orchard Park Road will be temporarily halted during the road closure.
