Two weeks of roadworks for crumbling Kingswood roundabout

A roundabout “in very poor condition” on Kingswood will close overnight during two weeks of roadworks. Essential resurfacing work will be carried out to improve the busy Barnes Way roundabout, which offers access to businesses including Next, along with homes off Richmond Way. Repairs will be carried out between 7pm-6am each night, with the road remaining open during the day. However, daytime closures of the northbound carriageway could be required if “trench reinstatement” work is required, Hull City Council has warned. The project is due to begin on Monday, November 13, and it is hoped it will take around two weeks, weather permitting. Trench reinstatements, which may be required, would involve excavating, backfilling and repairing the road surface to its original level.
