Ty Milner, 18, named as victim of tragic B1249 crash as friends pay heartbreaking tribute to ‘brother taken too soon’

A teenage driver who died in Monday night's crash on the B1249 has been named locally. Ty Milner died when the Renault Megane Scenic he was driving left the road between Driffield and Skipsea. Read more: Teenager dies as car with five people crashes on B1249 There were four passengers in the vehicle at the time, including two who required hospital treatment for minor injuries and two others who were not injured. Humberside Police have appealed for witnesses to the accident, which occurred on the B1249, between Driffield and Skipsea, on Monday night at around 10.40pm. The B1249 road remained closed off on Tuesday morning near North Frodingham Church Tributes have flown in on social media to the 18-year-old, who came from the Bridlington area. “You’ll be missed by many,” said one friend. Another posted: “Can’t believe I’m writing this. It’s breaking my heart having to put this into words. Rest in peace brother you were so young and had a full life ahead of you.” A third read: “My thoughts go out to all of Ty’s friends and family what a cruel world. Rest in peace Ty Milner gone too soon.” Floral tributes have been left at the crash scene near to where the car left the road, near North Frodingham Church on a sharp bend after a small bridge. Multiple road closures, including that of the B1249, followed the crash as late night accident investigators examined the scene.
