Traffic is tailing back from Boothferry Bridge in Airmyn with long delays reported by motorists. Cars and lorries were pictured at a standstill with police on the scene to stop lorries crossing in opposite directions at the same time, due to the narrow width of the bridge. It comes at the same time as the nearby Ouse Bridge is reduced to 40mph as a result of high winds, slowing traffic passing on the M62 between Howden and Goole. It is not known at this stage how long it will taker for the busy stretch to be cleared but Humberside Police officers are controlling traffic to avoid further issues.
