Updates as motorbike crash shuts major Beverley road

An East Yorkshire road has been closed in both directions after a motorbike rider has been involved in an accident. Traffic between Driffield and Beverley has been affected after the Dog Kennel Lane on the A1035 has been shut from B1248 to A1079 Beverley Road. Humberside Police are warning motorists to “avoid the area”. In a tweet, the force wrote: “Single vehicle accident on Killingwolds Graves Roundabout A1035/A1079 York Rd , road closures in place please avoid the area”. Traffic Management system Inrix says: “A1035 Dog Kennel Lane in both directions closed due to accident, motorcycle involved from B1248 to A1079 Beverley Road. “Traffic is coping well. Affecting traffic between Driffield and Beverley.” It is unknown how long the road will be closed for as the accident is cleared, and the status of the motorbike rider is also not yet known.
