A van driver and female passenger were assaulted following a crash on Hedon Road. A black Volkswagen Golf was travelling in the direction of Hedon when it was involved in a crash with a blue van at around 1pm last Wednesday, November 24. Drivers of both vehicles pulled into a supermarket petrol station just off Hedon Road, after the crash. For the latest crime news and headlines, click here. It's alleged that after the VW and the van pulled into the petrol station, the driver and the passenger from the VW assaulted a man driving the blue van. The female passenger of the blue van is thought to have attempted to intervene but was also assaulted by the two males. Humberside Police are appealing for anyone who may have been near the incident to contact them as soon as possible. A force spokesman said: “We are appealing for information following an incident at approximately 1pm on Wednesday, November 24. “It is reported that a black VW Golf was travelling along Hedon Road, Hull in the direction of Hedon when it collided with a blue van. “Following the collision, the blue van and black VW Golf stopped at a supermarket petrol station on Hull Road, Hedon. “Two unknown men, the driver of black VW Golf and the passenger are reported to have assaulted the man driving the blue van.
