Warning to drivers as Humber Bridge southbound carriageway to close for 56 hours this weekend

The inspection gantries that have enabled cable inspections to be carried out on the bridge will be taken down, with the southbound carriageway set to be shut from 8pm on Friday, September 13, to 4am on Monday, September 16. A contraflow will remain in place in the northbound carriageway, allowing drivers to still travel from East Yorkshire to North East Lincolnshire. The Humber Bridge board is advising motorists to allow extra time for their journeys as delays are expected, with the southbound TAG lane also closed.
