Essential carriageway repairs will be carried out on Wawne Road later this month prompting overnight road closures. The work will begin on Monday October 25 and will be carried out overnight, between 7.30pm and 6.30am. For the latest traffic and travel news, click here. Councillor Dean Kirk, portfolio holder for roads, highways and transport, said: “The renewal of this section of Wawne Road is essential in order to provide a safe and even surface for traffic. “To minimise disruption, this work will be carried out overnight and in phases. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused.” Hull City Council have estimated that the work will take up to a week to complete. Get traffic updates for your area To allow the work to take place safely, the Wawne Road/Sutton Road roundabout will be closed off during these hours, however a signed diversion route will be in place. Bus services will continue as normal and bin collections will not be affected. Access will be maintained at all times for emergency service vehicles.
