Drivers will pull up at 11am to pay their respects with a minute’s silence to a driver who was killed in a crash on Thursday, October 31. Kenneth Matcham died when a Skoda allegedly pulled out of a side road in Orpington, south east London, and collided with two buses. The 15 bus passengers who were travelling on the bus were injured and the driver of the Skoda was arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving and drug driving. Both East Yorkshire and Stagecoach buses have vowed to take part in the tribute which is taking place up and down the country. Kenneth Matcham died in a horror crash involving a Skoda on October 31 (Image: Police handout) East Yorkshire tweeted this morning: “At 11am today our bus drivers will stop (if safe to do so) for a minute’s silence to remember their colleague Kenneth Matcham, the London bus driver who tragically lost his life in an accident last week. “Our thoughts are with his family and workmates at this difficult time.” Stagecoach have confirmed they will also be paying their respects in the same way.
