Why traffic was so bad in George Street yesterday
Delays in changes to traffic lights in Hull are being investigated after emergency road closures caused gridlock across the city yesterday (Tuesday, September 12). Traffic slowed to a standstill across much of the city yesterday, in part because of an emergency road closure and restrictions in other streets. Hull City Council said it was also looking into if there were any issues with traffic lights in George Street which were taking longer to change than normal.
