A woman and two young children have tragically died following a horrendous crash on the A64 which resulted in the road being closed for over 10 hours, YorkshireLive. The tragic accident involved a white HGV and a grey motorhome and occurred at around 8pm near the Jinnah Restaurant at Flaxton in North Yorkshire. Read more: Man arrested after Holderness Road hit and run A five-year-old boy, a nine-year-old boy and 44-year-old woman were passengers in the caravan and were all sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The fourth passenger, a six-year-old boy, was taken to hospital with a serious head injury. A 48-year-old man, who was driving the motorhome, was taken to hospital with serious but not believed to be life-threatening injuries. The driver of the HGV sustained no injuries. Emergency services worked at the scene for several hours, causing the road to be closed between Barton-le-Willows and Flaxton. The road reopened at 6.45am on Wednesday, August 25. Anyone who witnessed the accident, has any dashcam footage of the incident, or was travelling in the area at the time, is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police.
