Woman fighting for life after stolen MG involved in serious A63 crash

The eastbound carriageway was closed for more than 11 hours after the accident, which happened near the junction for Welton and Brough at 6.25pm on Thursday, October 17. Police have issued an update confirming a woman has potentially life-threatening injuries and a man has been arrested. The crash involved a silver MG ZT, which police believe had been stolen, and a black Dacia Sandero. A 30-year-old man who was driving the MG suffered injuries and is being questioned on suspicion of aggravated taking a vehicle without consent, driving while unfit through drink and/or drugs and dangerous driving.
