Woman harassed on train to Hull by stranger who sent creepy texts from seat opposite

A terrified Hull woman claims a stranger bombarded her with creepy text messages as they travelled on a train into Hull. The woman, understood to be in her twenties, was sat alone on a train travelling from Sheffield to Hull alone on Sunday, August 8 when a man sat opposite allegedly sent the string of 11 messages. A friend confirmed to Hull Live that the woman was sat at the table seat by herself at around 3.30pm before the man approached her. He then allegedly began to persistently pester her for her number. It is claimed the stranger started messaging the woman while he was sat opposite her on the train (Image: Submitted) Exasperated, it is claimed the woman eventually gave him the number before he began sending her the strange text messages while sat at the opposite side of their table. The last message he sent read: “Do you stay alone”. He also sent several other odd messages, one read: “I just keep staring at you.” The man also allegedly tried to hold her hand and kept asking her a series of questions.
