Dashcam footage captured the moment a car lost control before flipping on its roof in an “awful” crash in Gipsyville. The accident took place just after 8pm on Sunday evening with police closing the road between Askew Avenue and the roundabout at Asda. Two ambulances, a fire engine and a number of police response vehicles were called to attend to the “smashed up” car involved. The incident was a “bad accident” involving a single car which left witnesses “stunned and in shock”. One man captured the moment the car flew across the central reservation after losing control in Askew Avenue with dashcam footage. “If I was five seconds earlier I wouldn’t be able to share this,” he said. To sign up for the Hull Live newsletter, click here “She lost control and was speeding and took nearly all the car where I wanted to park. “Luckily, she just passed me not coming into the lane I was in from the roundabout, so I was twice lucky. It was so awful to see.” Witnesses say the car flipped at least once before landing on its roof where a “heroic gent” stepped in to pull a female passenger away from the wreckage. One woman, who helped give first aid at the scene, said: “The car flipped at least once.
