Woman taken to hospital following fiery Willerby crash

A woman was taken to hospital following a fiery car crash on Great Gutter Lane Roundabout in Willerby. Humberside Fire and Rescue confirmed that a car crash shortly before 8.30pm on Wednesday, March 1, resulted in a vehicle fire in the centre of the roundabout. A woman was released from the car prior to the fire service arriving, and she was then taken to hospital by ambulance. Part of the B1232 was closed while emergency services, including police, fire and ambulance, attended the scene. Motorists were turned around by traffic officers but observed a large plume of smoke rising from the trees on the roundabout.
