Work to start on £4.7m Brough roundabout on Monday -…
A major road scheme designed to improve a congested junction in Brough is set to start tomorrow (Monday), with motorists warned of delays. The £4.7m project will see the construction of a large roundabout with traffic signals to replace the current busy junction at Welton Road, Welton Low Road, Water Lane and the A63. East Riding Council is scheduled to start the work on Monday and it is expected to take around 11 months to complete. The scheme is designed to improve the capacity of the junction by around 25 per cent and reduce traffic queues and delays, especially at rush hour times. The works will necessitate temporary, nighttime road closures and the council has warned of “unavoidable delays and congestion” while they are carried out.
