Yorkshire Water issues statement as three burst water mains on…

Motorists have experienced major delays around Hull this morning after multiple water pipes burst last night (Monday, June 26). The burst pipes, which were caused by ‘pressure issues’, are currently being fixed by teams from Yorkshire Water, although a fixed completion time or date has yet to be announced. The pipes have burst on major travel routes around the city, causing lengthy delays for drivers. The effected routes include Rawling Way, Beverley Road, Ellerburn Avenue, and Hedon Road. A number of bus routes have been effected, with Stagecoach services 6, 7, 8 and 20 all diverting while the repair works are completed.
