Part of the A63 has been closed for safety reasons. Following torrential rain in the area, which led to a red flood warning for Hornsea last night, standing water has forced the closure. Humberside Police initially issued advice for motorists to avoid the area, but shortly afterwards confirmed they had now closed the road between Hull City centre and the Hessle turn off.
