Drivers have been advised to avoid a section of Holderness Road in east Hull this morning following reports of a crash. Humberside Police put out a statement via its social media channels. The post said: “Officers are currently in attendance on Holderness Road in Hull following reports of a road traffic collision at around 7.45am this morning (Thursday, 13 November 2025). “The road is currently closed between Diadem roundabout and Shannon Road to allow emergency services to work safely. Motorists are advised to avoid the area where possible.” Key Events Appeal for information after 12-year-old girl seriously injured and woman arrested 14:53 14:53 KEY EVENT Appeal for information after 12-year-old girl seriously injured and woman arrested Humberside Police has put out the following statement: “Officers are appealing for information after we were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Holderness Road in Hull at around 7.45am this morning (Thursday, 13 November 2025). “It is reported a silver Mercedes E220 convertible, and a pedestrian were in collision near to the pedestrian crossing between Bilton roundabout and Diadem roundabout. “Emergency services attended, and the pedestrian, a 12-year-old girl, has been taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries which are not thought to be lifethreatening at this time. “A 26-year-old woman has since been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and remains in police custody assisting with ongoing enquiries at this time. “The road has since been reopened, and enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances around the collision. “We would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident, has any dashcam or CCTV from around the time it is believed to have occurred, to please contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 56 of 13 November.” Share 14:51 Deborah Hall Holderness Road now open Humberside Police confirm the section of Holderness Road closed by this morning's incident is now open again.
