The roadworks happening in Hull that motorists should know about

A number of projects are under way across the city right now. Here is your regular list of road closures, lane closures and temporary traffic lights that motorists should be aware of. This list is based the most up to date announcement from Hull City Council. A63 improvement scheme (St James Street to Market Place): Major A63 Improvement scheme – full infrastructure change, operating under a Development Control Order which gives the powers to National Highways to implement this scheme. Lane and road closures until completion of scheme, which is due by the end of May 2026. Grimston street: Dark Fibre installation began at the junction of George Street last week. The road until December 1, and then again on December 8 only. Holderness Road: Emergency repair of water main being carried out by Yorkshire Water. Humber Dock Street: Public realm works with road closure in place. Works are to take place on the public right of way along Humber Dock Street between junctions with Blanket Row and Humber Street. The works will last until the end of April, 2026. Kesteven Way: Resurfacing of mini roundabout, commencing on December 8. Southbound road closure 9.30am to 3.30pm only until December 10.
