Man, 23, tragically dies after early hours crash

Officers are appealing for information following the incident on the B1230 near Gilberdyke. The 23-year-old, who has been named by his family as Sid Sefton, sadly passed away a short while after being taken to hospital for treatment. Humberside Police say, at around 3.20am, a blue Ford was being driven eastbound on the B1230 towards Gilberdyke when “it is believed to have left the road and collided with a tree”. A police spokesperson added: “Emergency services attended and Sid was taken to hospital to receive treatment but passed away a short while later.
