The collision happened at around 7.55am on Wednesday in Maybury Road, near where it joins Marfleet Lane at the BP Garage and Holderness Drain. Both Humberside Police and Yorkshire Ambulance Service were in attendance. Humberside Police confirmed both the rider of the mobility scooter and the rider of the motorcycle received “minor injuries”. Yorkshire Ambulance Service said it sent out two ambulances, but only conveyed one person to hospital. Traffic had backed up down Marfleet Lane, with people describing it as “manic” and advising that others avoid the area. By 9.30am, the incident had cleared. A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “Officers were called to reports of a two-vehicle road traffic collision on Maybury Road in Hull at approximately 8.00am yesterday. It is reported a mobility scooter was crossing Maybury Road when it collided with a motorbike travelling down Maybury Road. “Emergency services attended and both riders received treatment to minor injuries.” In a statement provided yesterday, Yorkshire Ambulance Service said: “We received an emergency call at 7.55am this morning (25 February) to report a road traffic incident on Maybury Road in Hull.
