Drivers were being urged to avoid the westbound A63 in the Hessle area due to a “vehicle fire”. Emergency services were called to a section of the carriageway near the Humber Bridge during the morning rush hour. In a statement, Humberside POlice said: “Please be aware that we are in attendance to a vehicle on fire on the westbound carriageway of the A63, just under the Humber Bridge. There are likely to be delays caused due to this, so please avoid the area where possible and find an alternative route until this is resolved.
