Cyclist ‘seriously injured’ in crash near East Yorkshire village

Police have today issued an appeal for witnesses following the incident last Tuesday (November 18). It is reported that, at around 3am, a cyclist was involved in a collision with a car on the A1033 heading towards Thorngumbald. The car “did not stop at the scene”, police say. A Humberside Police spokesperson added: “The cyclist, a 52-year-old man, remains in hospital with serious injuries that are not thought to be life threatening. “Anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who has dashcam footage of the area at around the time of the collision, is urged to contact us on 101, quoting log 46 of 18 November 2025.” Get all the latest headlines sent straight to your inbox for free with our newsletter.
