There are roadworks ongoing in and around the city, some of them which are long-term projects. Here is your list of all the ongoing and upcoming roadworks in the area, as announced by Hull City Council. A63 improvement scheme (St James Street to Market Place): Major A63 Improvement scheme – full infrastructure change, operating under a Development Control Order which gives the powers to National Highways to implement this scheme. Lane and road closures until completion of scheme. Until Spring 2026. More details on the current wave of closures can be found here. Annandale Road: Meter installation near 133 Annandale Road by Yorkshire Water. Two-way signals in place 9.30am to 3.30pm only. Until December 16. Holderness Road: Telecoms maintenance from O2. Lane closure southwest-bound of Holderness Road, from its junction with Aberdeen Street to the entrance of Farmfoods parking. 8pm to 6am only. December 15-18. Humber Dock Street: Public realm works, with road closure in place from Hull City Council. Works are to take place on the public right of way along Humber Dock Street between junctions with Blanket Row and Humber Street. Until April 2026. Princes Dock Street: Works are part of Hull Public Realm development scheme from Hull City Council. Road closure in place. Until April 2026.
