National Highways says a week of overnight east and westbound closures are required between Roger Millward Way and Daltry Street. They will start on Monday, May 11 and finish on Friday, May 15 – lasting between 8pm to 6am each night. The move is to allow workers to complete “essential final phases of technology and lighting on the wider scheme”. It comes after the opening of the new, split-level Mytongate junction after six years of works to create it. Vehicles can now use the new underpass and the junction connecting the A63 Ferensway and Commercial Road above it. However, further closures are needed to complete the project. National Highways said in an update: “Main works are now coming to an end, but we will continue to update on any temporary overnight closures, if required, into the final stages of the scheme.
