Hull Daily Mail Icon News Hull & East Yorkshire News Traffic & Travel Two people were taken to hospital Humberside Police has issued an appeal following a crash near Hedon. The incident resulted in a road closure, but this has since been lifted. Police said that it is reported at around 8am yesterday (March 4), a Blue Vauxhall Meriva was travelling eastbound towards Hedon on the A1033 near the Saltend roundabout. It is believed to have collided with a White Vauxhall Corsa travelling Westbound towards Hull. A short time later it is believed the Meriva then collided with a black Mercedes also travelling Westbound towards Hull causing the Mercedes to leave the carriageway coming to a rest in a hedge. Emergency services attended and the driver of the Vauxhall Meriva, a 74-year-old woman, was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries. The driver of the Mercedes, a 31-year-old woman, was also taken to hospital for treatment to minor injuries.
