A 61-year-old woman suffered “serious injuries” when she was struck by a car while cycling down Holderness Road in Hull yesterday. Humberside Police said the incident happened at around 4:20pm when a cyclist and Citroen Picasso were in a collision. The road was closed to traffic in both directions, but later reopened. The force said the driver of the car stopped at the scene and has been assisting with enquiries.
