Man sadly dies following A63 collision as police issue appeal

The incident took place on Sunday morning (November 9) near Brough. According to police, at around 8.30am it is reported that a silver Toyota C-HR was travelling westbound along the A63, between the junctions of Brough and Melton, before colliding with the central reservation barrier. At the time, motorists were advised to ‘avoid the area’. Emergency services attended the scene and the driver of the Toyota, a 73-year-old man, was taken to hospital to receive treatment. Sadly, police said he died a short while later. His family have been informed. They are being supported by specialist trained officers at this difficult time.
