Man suffers ‘life-threatening injuries’ in A1079 crash
Hull Daily Mail Icon News Hull & East Yorkshire News Humberside Police Police are appealing for witnesses following the two-vehicle incident on Monday afternoon A man suffered “life-threatening injuries” in a crash on the A1079 in East Yorkshire. A number of others were also taken to hospital following the two-vehicle collision on Monday afternoon (February 2). The incident happened in the Market Weighton area near to the junction with Cliffe Road at around 12.45pm. It involved a grey Citroen and a grey Kia. A Humberside Police spokesperson added: “Emergency services attended, and the driver of the Citroen, a 73-year-old man, sustained life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital at this time. “The passenger of the Citroen and occupants of the Kia were also taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are not believed to be life threatening. “Anyone who witnessed the collision, or has any information or dashcam footage that may assist officers with their enquiries, is asked to call our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 192 of 2 February 2026.” Get all the latest headlines sent straight to your inbox for free with our newsletter.
