Part of a major Hull road has been closed overnight due to an “ongoing incident”, police said. In the early hours of Wednesday, Holderness Road was shut both ways from Saltshouse Road to the Bilton roundabout at Ganstead Lane. The closure was announced at around 1am and was reported to still be in place at 6.30am. It is reported to have reopened at around 7am. In a statement on social media at the start of the closure, Humberside Police said: “Please can motorists be aware that there is currently a road closure in place on the A165 from Diadem roundabout to the roundabout at Ganstead Lane in both directions due to an ongoing incident. “Please avoid the area where possible to allow our officers to work safety.” Further details are not available at this time.
