Police statement after crash that closed westbound A63 in Hull
Hull Daily Mail Icon News Hull & East Yorkshire News Humberside Police Part of the road was closed earlier this morning Police have issued a statement following a crash that closed the westbound A63 in Hull this morning. The road was closed heading away from the city centre from around 5.50am. National Highways reported lengthy tailbacks due the closure following the incident at Daltry Street flyover. Traffic was being diverted off the dual carriageway at the exit slip road and back on at the next entry. However, delays of up to an hour were being reported during the start of the peak rush-hour period. National Highways confirmed the road had reopened by around 8.30am. In a statement sent to Hull Live following the incident, a Humberside Police spokesperson said: “Officers were called to reports of a single-vehicle road traffic collision on the A63 westbound in Hull this morning (Thursday, 30 October 2025). “It is reported at around 5.50am, the driver of a Fiat was travelling westbound when the vehicle is believed to have collided with the central reservation near to the Daltry Street Flyover, before coming to rest on the carriageway.
