Reduced fares, more frequent services and a new route are among the proposals which have been backed to improve Hull bus services. Reducing some fares to £1 per journey and increasing the frequency of key services to every 10 minutes are among the proposals put forward in the Bus Service Improvement Plan. Hull City Council's Transport Portfolio Holder Cllr Mark Ieronimo said the authority would work with bus operators to roll out the improvements in the coming months. The plan approved by the council's Cabinet on Monday, May 20 was drawn up with operators Stagecoach and East Yorkshire Buses.
