An appeal has been launched for witnesses following the collision on Holwell Road at around 6.15pm on Tuesday evening (September 9). It is reported that a blue Mercedes and a silver Nissan collided close to the roundabout with Barnstable Road. A Humberside Police spokesperson added: “Emergency services attended and the driver of the Mercedes, a 59-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment to life threatening injuries, where he remains at this time. “If anyone witnessed the collision, has any information or dashcam footage that may assist officers with their ongoing enquiries please call our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 496 of 9 September 2025.” Did you know you can get all the latest traffic and travel updates sent straight to your inbox?
