Hull Daily Mail Icon News Hull & East Yorkshire News Humberside Police It happened at the junction with Ings Road Police have issued a statement following a crash that closed part of a major east Hull junction on Sunday evening. A police vehicle and a Ford Focus collided on Holderness Road and the junction of Ings Road at around 5pm. A significant emergency services presence was reported at the scene with part of the road closed for some time during the recovery operation. This morning, Humberside Police issued a statement on the incident. A spokesperson said: “A Ford Focus and a police van were involved in a collision on Holderness Road in Hull at around 5pm yesterday (Sunday, 19 October 2025). It is reported whilst officers were travelling in response to an emergency call, the police vehicle and Ford Focus collided near to the junction of Ings Road. “Thankfully, no one was injured as a result of the collision.
