The incident happened at around 8pm on Wednesday evening (August 27) near Rudston. Police say it is reported that a red Suzuki Swift and a blue Hyundai Tucson collided on the crossroads junction of Nine Dykes Road, Burton Road and Thwing Road on the B1253. The passenger of the Suzuki, an 82-year-old woman, was taken to hospital for treatment to “life-changing injuries”. One driver, an 85-year-old man, was treated for minor injuries, and the second driver, a 44-year-old woman, was seriously injured.
