The incident happened on Thursday, April 30, at around 7.50pm on the B1238 Hull Road near Aldbrough. According to police, it is reported that the rider of a multi-coloured BMW S1000RR motorcycle was travelling south on Hull Road towards Flinton. The force said “for reasons not yet clear, it has left the road and come to a rest in a ditch.” Emergency services attended the scene, but sadly, the rider of the motorcycle, a 37-year-old man, was discovered to have died at the scene. Police confirmed his family have been informed and they are currently being supported by specialist trained officers at this extremely difficult time.
