CCTV appeal after fatal crash in East Yorkshire
Hull Daily Mail Icon News Hull & East Yorkshire News Humberside Police A man sadly died in the incident and a woman was injured A CCTV image of a vehicle involved in a fatal crash in East Yorkshire has been released by police investigating the tragedy. A 31-year-old man died and a 34-year-old woman was injured when their car mounted a grass verge and then hit a tree in the Kilham area last Saturday (February 7). The incident, which happened at around 7.30pm, involved a blue Ford S-Max that was travelling south-west along Kilham Lane before crashing at the junction with Burton Road. The man sadly died at the scene while the woman was taken to hospital “for treatment to injuries that are not thought to be life threatening”. Today, a Humberside Police spokesperson said: “Extensive enquiries have been carried out over the course of the last week to establish the full circumstances around the collision, and we are now appealing to anyone who was in the area of Bridlington between the hours of 6pm and 7pm and may have seen or had some kind of interaction with the blue Ford S-Max prior to the collision. “If you have any information, no matter how small, including dashcam footage, please contact us on our non-emergency number 101, quoting log 376 of 7 February 2026.” Did you know you can make Hull Live a preferred source of Hull news in Google, which will mean you get more of our breaking news, exclusives, and must-read stories straight away?
