HGV tips over in Beverley during rush hour

Police were called to the incident in Minster Way, near the roundabout with Ward Way, at 8.45am. The lorry came to rest on its side. A recovery team arrived on the scene and righted the HGV at around 11.37am. Northbound traffic was diverted. The road was closed to cars southbound once recovery began, with several motorists turning around as traffic backed up. Humberside Police said nobody was seriously injured as a result of the incident. Hull Live understands the driver was able to leave the cab without assistance. Humberside Fire & Rescue confirmed it was not called out to the incident. A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “Officers were called to reports of a single-vehicle road traffic collision on Minster Way, Beverley at around 8.45am Tuesday, 10 March.
