Work on the major scheme to develop a split-level junction at Mytongate has been going on for around six years but is expected to be completed this Spring. Previously planned overnight closures for both the east and westbound carriageways on Saturday, February 14, and Sunday, February 15, are “no longer required”. While these closures are cancelled, weekend slots are now being held as a contingency for any essential works that may arise. Regular overnight closures will resume immediately after the weekend, starting Monday, February 16. For the World Club Challenge clash between Hull KR and Brisbane Broncos at the MKM Stadium on Thursday, February 19, the eastbound carriageway will stay open until 10.30pm to accommodate fans.
