Travel disruption expected this weekend due to work on railway…

Parts of the railway line between Hull and Doncaster will be shut over the weekend leading to disruption for travellers. On Saturday 11 and Sunday, May 12, Network Rail engineers will be replacing the track on platform 7 at Hull station. It said the works are essential to make more reliable and smoother journeys for passengers travelling from the station. On the same weekend, teams will be renewing the switches and crosses through Howden which are used by trains to change tracks. Hull Trains, LNER, Northern and TransPennine Express will be running an amended service with some rail replacement services running. On Saturday and Sunday, Hull Trains services towards London will start at Brough with a rail replacement bus service transporting passengers from Hull Interchange to Brough. There will also be a rail replacement service between Hull and Goole; passengers for Doncaster can then board train services from Goole.
