The planned east and westbound overnight closures (8pm-6am) on Saturday, January 31, and Sunday, February 1, are no longer required, National Highways confirmed. ‘Essential works’ are continuing this week as the team lay the new road surfaces and install technology for the traffic lights. Continued overnight closures will return from Monday, February 2. A spokesperson for National Highways said: “The equipment we use means that some disturbance is unfortunately unavoidable, but we make every effort to minimise noise generated by the activity.
