A woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a collision on the Humber Bridge this morning. As a result of the incident, motorists faced long delays on the northbound carriageway with drivers urged to avoid the area. Queues were reportedly going back several miles on the A15 in North Lincolnshire as traffic was held at a standstill. A lane reopened later in the morning but heavy traffic continued. Both lanes were reopened by 1pm this afternoon, however, drivers still said there were traffic delays. Following the incident, Humberside Police confirmed a woman had been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
